Surgical Suite
Our modern surgical suite at Crosspointe Animal Hospital is designed exclusively for surgical procedures and equipped with advanced technology to ensure the highest level of safety. Our licensed veterinary technicians are specially trained in anesthesia and remain with your pet throughout the entire procedure. We continuously monitor vital signs including oxygen levels, CO₂ levels, respiratory rate, heart rate, ECG, blood pressure, and temperature to ensure your pet’s safety and comfort at all times.
What to Expect
Your pet will be dropped off in the morning between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM. Our reception team will contact you ahead of time with pre-surgical instructions, including fasting guidelines (no food after 10 PM the night before; water is allowed).
During the day, your pet will be closely monitored by one of our Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs), who will oversee their care from admission through recovery. After the procedure, the veterinarian will contact you to discuss the results, provide aftercare instructions, and give you an accurate pick-up time.
Specialty Surgery
While many procedures can be performed in-house, some pets require more advanced or specialized surgical care. In these cases, we partner with a traveling board-certified veterinary surgeon who performs procedures within our hospital.
This allows your pet to receive advanced surgical care in a familiar, trusted environment, supported by the team you already know. Throughout every specialty procedure, a dedicated LVT monitors anesthesia and supports your pet to ensure safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes.
