Dr. Hinn, DVM

Practice Owner

Dr. Hinn is a Virginia native and received his DVM degree from the University of Georgia. His special interests include surgery, veterinary dentistry, birds, and providing pet care for exotic animals as well as cats and dogs. Another strong interest that he has developed is that of nutrition and vitamin supplementation.

In addition to local and national veterinary associations, he is a member of the Critical Care Society, the American Veterinary Dental Association, and the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians.

Dr. Burbrink, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Burbrink received her veterinary degree from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2007. Her special interests include dentistry (a field in which she has taken extensive continuing education courses), soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine.

Dr. Burbrink is married to her high school sweetheart and has two boys. She enjoys cheering for all the local sports teams, especially the Washington Nationals and loves anything related to Star Wars.

Dr. Gigrich, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Gigrich is British and qualified as a veterinarian from Cambridge University Veterinary School in England. She spent a few years working in a mixed practice in Nottingham, England (Robin Hood’s hometown!) before marrying an American, Jim, and moving to the U.S. Having passed American veterinary exams, she worked in small animal hospitals in Georgia, New York State, and Kansas before moving to Germany for 4 years.

After a break for children, she started working at Crosspointe part-time in 2008 and is happy to be back in her chosen profession. She stays constantly busy with work, looking after her 4 energetic boys, and walking her big yellow Lab, Hunter.

Dr. Katlin Gott
Dr. Katlin Gott, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Gott received a biology degree at Hollins University in Roanoke and her veterinary degree from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. She has been with our practice since June 2022. Dr. Gott has had a passion for all animals since she can remember but is very partial to cats and knew she wanted to be a veterinarian since kindergarten. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, knitting, crocheting, and reading. She also enjoys spending time with her two cats, Oswald and Ginny, and two chinchillas, Ellie and Poppy.

Dr. Jillian Kazmierczak
Dr. Jillian Kazmierczak

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Kazmierczak “Kaz” was born in Michigan and raised in nearby Loudoun County. She received both her undergraduate degree in Animal Science and DVM degree at Virginia Tech. She has been with Crosspointe since she graduated from veterinary school in 2023. Her special interests include surgery, neurology, ophthalmology, and reproduction.

Dr. Kaz lives in Alexandria with her boyfriend and her two beagles, Winnie and Maggie. In her free time she enjoys traveling, hiking, horseback riding, and trying local Virginia wineries and breweries. She also loves visiting Blacksburg to cheer on the Hokies and is a loyal Green Bay Packers fan.

Chelsie

Practice Manager

Chelsie has been working in the field of veterinary medicine since 2012 but joined Crosspointe Animal Hospital’s team in June 2017. She is originally from the south and carries southern hospitality and kindness with her everywhere she goes. When she isn’t at work Chelsie enjoys spending time with her family & her two fluffy dogs, Scout & Rusty.

Megan
Megan

Practice Manager

Megan started working at Crosspointe Animal Hospital in the kennel department in October of 2019. Working with the boarding pets helped her recognize her passion for animal care, and she became a veterinary assistant in June 2020. She loves rescues and will often open her home to adoptable dogs and cats who need special care while waiting for a forever home. Megan became one of the kennel supervisors in March of 2021 and looks forward to sharing her experience and knowledge with the kennel staff in hopes that they will recognize their passion for animals in the same way she did years ago. In her free time, Megan enjoys playing video games, listening to music, and spending time outside with whatever four-legged friend she has with her at the time!

Katie, AS, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Katie joined the Crosspointe team in October 2013. With encouragement from the vets here, she went to veterinary technician school and graduated in May 2018. Her favorite things about being a tech are geriatric care, surgery, and working with large breeds like Labrador Retrievers, Dobermans, Rottweilers, and Great Danes. The photogenic pup who is in the picture with Katie is her black lab Bucky (named after the Winter Soldier!). Together, they enjoy all the nerdy things: Harry Potter, Star Wars, Marvel, Supernatural and Doctor Who.

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Angie joined the Crosspointe team in the spring of 2022 as a veterinary assistant. She is a military spouse and mother to four children and decided to start her career now that her children are all grown. She loves working with animals and has a passion for learning. She is a Corgi lover and melts anytime she sees one. Pictured with her is her Corgi Border Collie mix Geordi she rescued in 2020.

Chloe
Chloe

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Chloe joined our sister hospital team as a Veterinary Assistant in 2016. She then graduated from the NOVA Veterinary Technology program in the Spring of 2018. She is now a part of our Crosspointe team full-time. Chloe has a special interest in radiology and enjoys taking orthopedic X-rays. She hopes to become a certified PennHIP Technician in the future. Chloe has two dogs at home; a black Labrador named Jack and a Pug / Boston mix named Ella. She also adopted a cat through our adoption program, named Charles! While not at work Chloe enjoys competing with her dog, Jack, in AKC and UKC hunt Test Trials and Field Trials. She also enjoys photography and home decor.

Kennel Manager

Kat joined the Crosspointe team in November 2021 as a kennel attendant but has been a Veterinary Assistant since receiving her Vet assistant certification from ACE in February 2022. She has always loved all things animals, from dogs and cats to snakes and lizards! She is currently in school to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. In her free time, she can be found training with her Labrador Retriever, Milo, or re-watching The Vampire Diaries (again) with her Bearded Dragon Zorro!

Kennel Manager

If there was one thing Katherine always wanted to be when she was older, it was a veterinarian. When Katherine first joined the Crosspointe team in the summer of 2022, she started in the hospital’s kennel department. Shortly after her start date, Katherine was moved up into our treatment department and began training as a veterinary assistant, where she has since been training alongside the amazing doctors and technicians at our hospital.

Katherine is very family-oriented; during her free time, she can be found hanging out with her family and friends. Katherine also has two dogs, Rosey and Princess, with whom she is very attached. Katherine is also a huge foodie and loves traveling, and if she wasn’t here working at Crosspointe right now, she would be found working at an animal rescue in her home country El Salvador.

Veterinary Assistant/Rescue Coordinator

Jayla grew up in Falls Church, Virginia. She was the kid who always was around animals or trying to bring one home. She decided to jump into the veterinary field in 2010. she completed her hands-on training hours and received her certification in vet assisting from PGCC. She plans to move forward and become a veterinary technician. She loves playing basketball, Arts & Crafts, going to the beach, and cuddling with her cat, “Spooky Jack-o’-lantern”.

Veterinary Assistant/Volunteer Coordinator

Alex is one of our most fun veterinary assistants, and oversees our nutrition department! He enjoys creating a fun, and friendly environment for all patients when possible, and he does the same for his co-workers. He welcomes all clients and patients with a smile and gives every appointment 100% of his attention. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his fiancé, and two dogs. He hopes to get his veterinary technician license one day to continue working in his chosen career.

Adinda
Adinda

Veterinary Assistant/Rescue Coordinator

Since a young age, Adinda has always had a passion for wanting to work with animals. Although she is currently working on her BSN, she recently took an interest in vet medicine and started training as a vet assistant at Crosspointe Animal Hospital. Adinda has two pitties at home, Daisy and Rocco who she loves spending time with. Adinda also loves traveling, and cooking, and is a huge foodie who loves finding the best new food spots in the DMV.

Veterinary Receptionist/Adoption Coordinator

Haley joined the Crosspointe team in the summer of 2022. She has a huge love for animals, especially cats. She has a yellow lab at home and three cats. She enjoys the outdoors and playing fetch with her dog. She loves working and building a deep connection with rescue animals.

Veterinary Assistant

Christian joined the Crosspointe team in the summer of 2022. He has a passion for veterinary medicine and is always eager to learn new things. He has a cockapoo named Champ but since working at Crosspointe he soon realized he has a huge love for cats and now has two named Soka and Anakin. He has plans to become a veterinarian one day. Christian is very caring and always trying to brighten everyone’s day.

Veterinary Assistant

Hannah began working in Crosspointes’ kennel department in November 2023 with a lifelong passion for veterinary care. She quickly became familiar with all aspects of the job and was promoted to the treatment department. Hannah loves all animals, from dogs and cats to horses and rabbits. In her free time, she enjoys baking, exercising, and spending time with her English Bulldog, Winnie, and French Bulldog, Diesel.

Annika

Seasonal Veterinary Assistant

Annika joined the Crosspointe team in 2023, only amplifying her enthusiasm to pursue pre-veterinary medicine in college. After spending 10 months in the kennel department, she moved up to Veterinary Assistant and absolutely adores being one of the many smiling faces of the hospital treating pets alongside our fabulous doctors. Annika is studying Animal & Poultry Sciences at Virginia Tech and is especially fascinated by embryology, reproduction, and animal genomics. She hopes to become a livestock veterinarian one day, but working with companion animals will forever hold a special place in her heart!

Riley

Seasonal Veterinary Assistant

Riley started working as a Veterinary Assistant at Crosspointe in the summer of 2023. We only have her for a few months each year because she is currently a senior at James Madison University, but we love having her on our team! She is double majoring in Biology and Health Sciences with a pre-veterinary minor. Currently, Riley is applying to veterinary school to pursue her dream of becoming a Small Animal Veterinarian. In addition to being passionate about animals professionally, Riley has two cats named Millie and Shadow, as well as a golden retriever named Calee. During her free time, she enjoys going on hikes and searching for waterfalls where she can swim.
