Why Use a Pet Boarding Facility?
Many owners think that leaving their pet with a trusted friend or family member is preferable to pet boarding. Your pet is an intrinsic part of your life and routine. Not so with someone else who, though well-meaning, has a life and routine that does not include your pet.
Why Use Our Pet Boarding Facility?
Crosspointe offers you and your pet the best of the best, not the least of which is a vet on premises to deal with unforeseen medical problems. Our kennel staff is professionally trained and demonstrates the utmost competence as well as true caring for every pet. Everything is cleaned daily and literally sparkles. We are also proud to say we are accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) which requires us to meet the highest standards of excellence in every facet of our business.
Pet Care at Crosspointe
Our pet boarding facility is truly the next best thing to home for your pet, and here are the reasons why.
Every pet has his or her own indoor kennel kept at a comfortable 72 degrees year-round. Each dog is walked individually 3 times daily, with 2 additional walks as an option. We have 2 enclosed, beautifully maintained yards where we walk the dogs. For dogs who are extremely fearful, we welcome them for a “Happy Visit” before boarding.
We feed a bland diet of beef and rice as our standard fare but will be happy to accommodate your pet’s diet if you choose. We like the bland diet option to keep nervous stomachs settled; however, since we are a full-service animal hospital, our animal care specialists are trained to recognize signs of distress or illness and will get immediate care from the veterinarian.
For chronic or emergency issues, our vet is on call to deal with medical situation.
Pet Boarding Requirements
We need to keep all animals in our facility healthy so we require the following:
- Copy of your pet’s up-to-date vaccinations
- Proof of current distemper vaccination
- Proof of current rabies vaccination
- Results from annual stool check
- Proof of current Bordetella vaccination
If necessary, these vaccinations can be administered at check-in.
Seeing is believing, so we invite you for a tour of our pet boarding facility serving the towns of Fairfax Station, Woodbridge, and Springfield as well as to meet our vet.
